I think you ask a question about those "mail-order brides" from Russia? That's hardly to say but I think the American men are not looking ladies who write fake letters.
No matter what the reason and where they're living but men always wish to have their dream nearby. I'm sure most of the men do try to find their sweetheart in Russia or in the countries of former USSR because they are very lonely and American ladies don't pay attention at them.
I was told that many American men seek brides from Russia, Ukraine and Asia because they are serious and obedient to their husbands.
I think the loneliness is not the only one cause to look a bride for abroad. The reason which pushes an American man to make such steps is to find a special sweetheart and the best chance to find a sweetheart is to meet Russian women who are free and want to be found by responsible and loving men. A simple dream is a beautiful lady, possibly from a deep Russian village, a lady from another world.
Just recently the USA was almost an enemy for Russia. But those times have gone. The world has changed. And now it is very interesting for simple Americans to come to Russia and to see that beautiful country with the long and difficult history.
Of course it concerns not only American men but a lot of other foreigners.
Russian women are often unhappy because their husbands drink too much vodka and make a noise or scandals.
As a rule the American women are anxious about their careers more than cooking food in the kitchen and tidying up the house. They can take an offense if somebody tries to afflict their statutory rights; I mean all that not healthy stuff about feminism. So, while they are making their careers their men get married to young, kind and beautiful Russian women and produce future generations afterward.
Sometimes Russian women are really not happy with their husbands. The reason is that the Russian husbands sometimes drink a lot of alcohol. It is a rather big problem in Russia. There is a good professor in Russia. He lives in Novosibirsk and his name is Zhdanov. On one of his numerous lectures he declared that during the whole period of Afghan's war the city Novosibirsk lost about 15 men. But for one New Year's night the city lost 137 men. All of them were too much drunk and were sleeping on the snow+ they died because of undercooling.
But the Russian women don't drink too much. Or many of them don't drink at all.
Why do I think so? Because as far as I know; Russian women are stronger than Russian men in this way. They can't afford themselves to get a rest in such way. And of course the responsibility to educate the children plays very important role.
It's rather spread opinion in Russia each woman dreams to have a husband who is not an alcoholic.
It's obvious that Russia suffers because of the common Russian alcoholism. I like to watch Russian serials but in every part of the movie there is a scene where people drink alcohol. Somebody thinks it is normal way of life but it isn't inherent thing for most healthy Russian population.
Is Russia a country of alcoholics? Of course not, there're some men who drink a lot, especially in villages where, oh very yes, a woman is happy if her husband doesn't drink too much and doesn't beat her every day. But in cities it's quite different. Of course absolute abstainers are but the society has the tradition to drink for health.
In America women's game is finding a man who makes more money then the previous one, does not ask to do any house work and so on. But Russian women find their happiness in other ways of life.
Can a woman in Russia have a job and make enough money? Yes, of course she can. She can have a rather prestige work and a good salary. But as a rule it is an exception and in spite of her busy life she has femininity, care and support. The most important thing she has absence of feminism.
In compare with the American women the Russian women haven't possibilities to attend often beauty saloons, solariums, massage rooms and shops with expensive and fashionable clothes.
Many Russian women can't afford themselves to go to the seaside or to go for abroad.
